Newbie from the Netherlands

Hello there,

I'm a newbie on this forum and from overseas, the Netherlands.
I recently bought me a 55 Crown Vickie (hence the username) as a project.
I registered to learn about the older Fords (not much of them around here) and maybe ask some advice now and then.
Or places for hard to find parts (for example: looking for the seattracks for the front bench)

I'm a tru Ford guy, owning a 79 Mustang, a 86 Bronco and a 69 Lincoln Mk III
Hope to hear from you!

Greetings from the Netherlands

Welcome. You’ll find lots of good advice here. From outside Seattle, WA, only 4871 air miles away from Amsterdam.

Welcome aboard. For parts for my '54 Ranch Wagon I use Concours Auto parts in Carson City, NV. or C&G in Escondido, CA ShoeBox Central may offer some parts as well but they only list through 1954.

I'm missing the front benchseat tracks for my CV.
Now I found a 1964 Galaxie convertible with front benchseat.

Does anybody know if the front benchseat tracks from a 64 Galaxie fits a 1955 Crown Vickie?

grtz,

grtz,

They will not fit directly, but may be modified to fit ... ?

When I converted my 55 Tbird power seat to manual, I used 56-57 manual seat tracks and adjuster cable routing brackets on my 55 seat frame. However, I could only use two of the four existing floor-pan holes. I drilled two additional holes for the manual tracks and plugged the unused holes.

I don't know if the Tbird tracks are the same as the CV tracks, but I can provide you with contact information for someone who would know and might have the tracks that you need. I'll PM the information.

The internet is great, isn't it? I've been in the hobby for many years and it seems like the best stuff comes out of Washington state and Oregon. Just my opinion. Check out he local Craigslist for cities in those states.

Welcome to the site. I have a 55 Town Sedan that I'm still learning about. I'll be watching your threads and questions to see what others have to say that might also help me.

I'd be curious to see what your data plate shows for date and color codes.

Condolences on the loss to Morocco last night.
