newbie from OHIO. having big trouble

Still wondering ? Its sunday am , Hoped we would hear something back ! My bet is the battery was mounded backwards . Pretty common for a newbe.

my interest in this is i Might make the drive and help him get it running. Would like to hear
if he got it running or not. Sometimes you have to let them try to work it out themselves .
Then if they can't . I will. Wanna make the drive with me?

ITS RUNNING!!!!!Thanks to a friend of A.J. PENINGTON took it it to him this morning and 3 hours later its running. Found out the ignition switch was loose and shorting out on the dash. The starter was also stuck and the fuse was bad....SORRY IT TOOK SO LONG THANKS FOR EVERYONE HELP...

Wow, you just survived a triple whammy. So I guess the fuse blew when you turned on the key and hit the starter and arced the ignition switch to the dash. Well the fuse did its job.

I always glue a patch of leather to gas tank, behind ignition switch, to prevent possibility of switch wires "shorting" out.
