Hello Everyone.
Just registered tonight on this forum to learn more about the Model A from all you experts! We are purchasing my father in laws 1929 Roadster from him to keep this car in the family. I am sure any of you from the Billings Montana area will probably know this car and my father in law. LeRoy has owned this car for 50 years or so having rebuilt and retored it all over these 50 years. My wife recalls as a little girl setting on the seats of a second car he had for parts while building the one you see. She tells me stories of getting caught in the rain a couple times way back when and having to set down on floor board in the rumbleseat area while the lid was closed! This was really important to her that this car stays in the family so she knows not only will her dad know the car will be well taken care of but to some day pass on to our son Dallas.
My Wife and I own a Corvette based parts company and are suporting vendors on other forums. We know first hand the forums are where the experts are and the best way to learn about any model of car. I must admit I know nothing about these old cars other than being around my cousins who owned Rock Valley Antique Auto Parts and restored and build these as hot rods. I look forward to reading all your comments good or bad
and hope you all take it easy on me as I might ask some dumb questions while in my learning curve. Heck i dont know how to even start the car yet!
The car will remain in the possesion of my father in law until sometime in future so this will give me some time to do my homework before we drive out to Billings and pick it up.
Anyways
Here is my father in laws 29 Roadster we are very happy to be keeping in the family.
Dennis
