New to Fordbarn

Thanks.
Today I put some Renners jets in the carb and put in some new plugs. It runs great now, it was running too rich. I try to do a little bit every day if possible. I want to remove the driver door top hinge pin to install a rear view mirror but am having trouble removing it despite buying a pin removal tool. I guess I will have to drill it out. I also have a rebuild kit for the water pump and a new head gasket. The engine was rebuilt in 1972 but I don't remember all that the machine shop did. I doubt they would have any record even though they are still open. I know they rebored it and replaced all the valves but I don't know if the Babbitt bearings were rebuilt or not. The engine seems to run perfectly and is very quiet. I may drop the oil pan to inspect it inside. I hate to mess with it since there aren't any oil leaks at present. The cylinders all test between 63 and 65 PSI compression.

Agreed with the others - leave it alone but be proud of the way it turned out! Your grandfather would be!
