New to Ford Barn

My name is Bob, i have been reading Ford Barn for a couple days now but decided to join today. I presently own a mid 31 S/W Town Sedan 160-B had since 1986 and still under construction, still sitting wating for attention. Also own an early Special Coupe 49-A date stamped on firewall 7-27-28 17 days after started production. working on this to drive around in. will be posting pictures soon.
Will have questions later p.s. not on computer much but since joining ford barn i will be. enjoyed all the threads i read thanks again for everybody's input on their knowledge

Here at least, go Advanced and then manage attachments. That will bring a small box and you can add the pics there-either from your computer or something like photobucket.

Welcome! I'm kinda new here myself...don't be afraid to ask any questions. Most everyone on here is really helpful!

Hi Skrain , cool car i notice the newbie, i have been reading a lot of past threads like page 60 back, All the knowledgeable people out there willing to help out to pick their brain and all have one thing in common. CARS

Howdy Bob! Glad you decided to join the fun! Meet Henrietta (over there to the left). She's a 49-A Special Coupe as well. Manufacture date on firewall is 8-3-29; body assembled in Sommerville, MA. What's your body assembly plant number? You can find a code stamped on the steel front body cross member in front of the seat riser (lift up the floor board). The number reads from port to starboard. The numbers can be decoded in the following article: Sturges, David. Body assembly plant numbers. The Restorer. May-June 2001. 46:1, p. 14-16.

What's the story of how you came to own her?

Mike

wow and thanks to all. Do you want long version or short. short i also owned a 29 special coupe body and a 34 wrecker found next to a corn field in milan mich. but traded both to a hot rodder that was going to chop the top of this 28 special coupe, which has a lot of original parts, like fluted headlights, gas sticker in the front window, all five hubcaps match with" a star and the letter "R", red steering wheel and drum tail light, but was painted all blue fenders too.

At the bottom when you go to reply you have two options-quick reply or advanced. Click on the advanced reply and then scroll to the bottom. Look for "manage attachments" that is where you can add pics.

You will have to resize your picture to make it small enough to post.

Open your picture for editing. I use MicrosoftOffice Picture Manager.
Click on "Edit Pictures"
Click on "Resize"
In the Predefined width x height box select "Web - Large"
Click “ok”

Then "Save As" in a different file for posting. If you just save it your original picture will be changed so be careful of that. Once made smaller you can’t go back bigger.

Once you get this done you can then click on "Mange Attachments", then click on "Browse", find and add your re-sized photo(s)
