New/old guy here....

Hey all- newb to the "new" FB,but frequented the old site for years. I've had many A's,and played around with them for a while. just on the downward slide of finnishing a 50 Merc. And,as always, have the spare project cussing at me from the corner=30 roadster.

I didn't see an intro page-so here it is. Full time wrench working for local government on PD and Fire rigs, lawn edgers to freightliners. last of a dying breed. makes it kinda tough to come home and spin the wrench after a long day.

I do have a Q though, and am unsure if this is the place to post, but here goes,so guide a newb:rolleyes:.

I am trying to remove the arms from some houdaille lever arm shocks, have the "nuts" out,and have been lubricating, prying and what not,and still no dice.Trying gingerly with a hammer and chisel for pursuasion, but no dice.
Any help is greatelly appreiciated.
Thanks-Mike

Jim- Thanks for the reply and welcome! I believe they are 47/48 shocks as there isn't a "square head" and no bolt going through. Just a center bolt, which when removed, oil will start to seep out. No other fasteners to remove, just the arm. I don't want to get all crazy with trying to remove them, and sure that they've affixed themselves to the shaft(s). I will try a puller next, but just wanted to know the "what should I look for" ideas before I got carried away.
Thanks-Mike
