I recently purchased a 1930 model a the was restored. I found the radiator neck has been disconnected from the top tank. Can this be reconnected or does the radiator have to be replaced. The big question how do you remove the radiator

You need to get the Andrews red book.

Yes it can be soldered on.

You need to remove the headlamp bar with headlamps.
Remove the screws that hold the shroud in place.
remove the hoses
remove the two screws that hold the radiator to the cross member.

Welcome to the hobby and to the Barn.

When you or the radiator shop solder the neck back on, be sure the lock tabs are clocked correctly, so if you mount a cap with a bird, it will set correctly.

The radiator does not need to be removed to solder the neck. Only the shroud. Chocking that bird can cause a broken neck.

Yes, Welcome!

I had to remove my radiator right after I brought my truck home......

In addition to the things mentioned above the hood will have to come off and the radiator-to-firewall braces removed from the radiator.

This is the book mentioned above. Indispensable..!

If you can repair it while still in the car as mentioned I'd sure try that first.

It's not a pressure cooling system...

When you say "neck" do you mean the filler neck or the upper hose connection?
