Hello, I'm Remy and I'm new here. I didn't see an off topic forum or another obvious place for new member introductions so I just thought I'd take the time to post here and say hello.
I'm 38 and I grew up walking junkyards with my grandfather and always loved the old Fords. Now that I have kids of my own I want them to grow up mechanically competent and not afraid to change their own tire or oil. I also want to indulge myself and them and cruise in something of our own.
To this end I have put a deposit down on a 31 Ford Four-door Model A sedan that has been garaged since 1955, has practically no rust and runs. I will be it's fourth owner in its long life. The car looks great but the interior will need recovered. Does anyone offer good stock replacement interior or should I shop at a local upholstery place?
I have taken the time to join my local model A group here in Wichita KS as well as this forum for help.
Anyway can't wait to learn more from you all and see you in the road!
