New guy with a '41 Ford pick-up

Love the 41's, more of something over a 40!
Besides anyone can have a 40, but you need the bull nose piece and no one makes them....................
Very nice truck.

That is a beauty. It really looks great red.

41Pickup,

Thats why my 41 looks like a 40. The PO couldn't source a 41 bullnose molding. But I still like mine.

Thanks for the warm welcome. Who sells service manuals?

Anyone done a final drive ratio change? I'd like to do more than 45.

My Detroit Iron CD covers '39 - '48 Ford, Lincoln & Mercury. It came C&G Early Ford Parts. Cost was about $50.00.

Barry, Speedway has gears, I put 3:54's in mine, and I've put in a Mitchell Overdrive. Cruise down the road at 70 no problem.

An additional comment about the single door lock. Ford saved a lot of money by not putting on a second lock cylinder. Commercials(pickups, etc) were a low dollar vehicle and Ford made them as cheaply as possible. One door lock, one sun visor,no ash tray, etc. All this saved money.
