If your running a carb that uses rubber fuel line replace them now, go to your parts store and make sure they sell you tubing for the modern gas. the new fuel eats up old rubber sending it into the carb. p.s. don't fall down when its $ 5.00 a foot.

I remember in the 80's when I started seeing a lot of burn spots on the side of the road from car fires. It took me a while to make the connection that the new crap gas was destroying fuel line hose connections and causing car fires.
It even caused my Omni to have an engine fire. Luckily I just happened to turn around before going into the house, and see smoke coming from under my hood. I was able to put the fire out with only the loss of a few burned wires and hoses.
p.s. don't fall down when its $ 5.00 a foot.
