Bill,
It was a parts car I bought a while ago. The real crazy thing is I started the engine up with the rod in the bottom of the pan- I didn't know it was blown-up. It ran real good on seven! The engine ended up in my 49 coupe, rebuilt, still running today.
Have a good one, Chuck.

Hey Ken, Are you planning to go along on the NE tour or are you going to the MC show/tour? It would be great if you could get that LB engine pulled and find something relatively quick and easy to fix and then get it all back together and running good in time for the tour. I'm wondering if there are any other FBer's or EFV8C/A members in your area who might consider lending you a hand? If needed, I could stop there on the way up or the way back from the tour and help you out some. Due to necessity in the past and my poor damn luck, I have plenty of experience pulling, repairing and replacing these old FH engines. Give it some thought and call me. JM

No me and the wife are going to go on the FB tour either with or with out the car,my GS is going to be here for almost a week so depends what is found with it. Hoping its a rotted pan rail plug causing the problem, then i could possbly get it back in before he goes back to Saint Louis. thanks for the offer though. ken ct.Should be a blast on the bike if i have to do it that way. Hoping for NO rain that wk end. ken + peg.
