John Lampl, Steve SchobeIock and I will be attending the MARC Convention in Asheville, NC.
I will be giving the seminar on the "New Engine" at 10 AM on Monday, July 15.
After the seminar, we'll be in the Hotel Lobby with a display engine to answer questions and take orders.
On Tuesday evening, we will be in the Hotel Bar for a relaxed gathering.
Please bring your questions, comments, and concerns regarding the "New Engine" to share with others.

Terry, I was looking forward to the seminar in Ruidoso but...... I was looking forward to meeting you again. (and guys like John and Steve)
I hope the NC Convention goes ahead and all goes well - no fires (or floods).

FWIW, if I had my "New Engine" when I set up my car for towing those long distances my wife and I do, I would not have needed an O/D. As I have described before, I built an original engine for more power but mostly for more stamina. Part of having it stay together was to keep the revs down to a tolerable level so I installed a Mitchell overdrive.
Now, having done a few miles towing with the new engine, I find that it is happy spinning at revs that would not be tolerable for that rebuilt engine I used for about 60,000 miles towing. I wouldn't need to install an overdrive.
I have set up your engine in a similar way to the original one and although I haven't put either over the dyno, I believe they have similar power output. I would guess that to be about 80-90 hp.
I figure that if I got that service out of the previous engine (it is still going in another car). I can expect much more from yours.
