Well a friend of mine has photo shop and was playing with colors for me. this one is black and silver, he did not work on the wheels yet although the red looks ok too. The 36 lends itself to a two tone color scheme pretty well, he is going to do a black/red and a silver/white too. Pretty amazing program to work with.

Oh no. The red doesn't go. That silver makes it look like stainless steel. They used to two-tone 40 Fords also.

The more I look I think maybe black wheels with silver hub cap? or the opposite....

But then, the "grey dish" wheel accessory around the hub cap would have to be chrome also to go with the silver color. How would it look with Black wheels and the "dish" gizmo removed?

He is going to work on the wheel color for me next, I think the black wheels with silver hub cap and the chrome trim rings should look good, will see soon...

I think the 36 is a car that looks amazing one solid color.I think the two tone gives it a european look like they did with rolls royce etc.A deep black, maroon or deep red look amazing.I have also seen a very dark root beer that was beautiful.just my 2 cents.

Looks better with the silver wheels. Owner of a 36 5/w coupe. Wash. blue. ken ct. It sure is different i like it.

i like the scheme from mid '30s Packards??....burgundy and cream??...see if your friend can photoshop those colors....pretty cool....Mike

Here's another combo, white and silver. Think I like the black and silver better with the silver wheels. Pretty cool to see it in different colors!

Posting threads like this is like asking for opinions - potentially dangerous!

My 2 cents is that the two tone does nothing for that car. Ok, it wrecks it.

The last one (ruby red) is what does work and plays to the car's natural strengths.

I like the red, by any chance does it have a name .ther e might be another 36 painted like yours, dp

It's not painted that color, it's a Photoshop rendition of what it might look like if it were painted that (imaginary) color :):D
