Any farm rated 6 battery will work just fine. How you use and maintain the battery will determine the service it will give you. #1. Never let it discharge. #2. Periodically charge the battery with a trickle charger. #3. Maintain the electrolyte level. #4. Make sure the generator is charging at a proper rate, voltage regulator preferred.

Use “distilled” water.

farm n fleet - $40 something for 6v group 1 battery.

Same here SeaSlugs, them or Farm King is where I get them. Have had good luck usually last 7 plus years especially running Tom's EVR, and for about 40 bucks what the heck

I have a 1988 Mercury Grand Marquis with 46,000 miles on the clock. It has a Interstate battery in it that has been in it since 2000. That is 18 years!

twelve volt batteries have lasted longer for me. I've got one that is 12 years old and still hoding up good in my roadster.
