Thanks to everyone else for the valuable info, please keep contributing, I am really looking forward to getting this car.

It is a long time since I have had a real car to drive.

I live in New Zealand Geoff and I have used Mac's/ Eckler's and a few bits off Ebay. There is a bit around New Zealand, you just have to do the swap meets. Sadly a lot of it is over priced but if you need it you have to pay. As you have said, try and load the car up before it leaves the States to save on shipping.
I have a '54 Ranch Wagon with a '57 292 and 4 speed.

Hi Brian

Good to hear from a fellow Kiwi, yes I have looked at Mac's web page and have found a few things there that I would like/need. I want to make sure that I have a car that does not need work everytime it needs a new WOF like my old Fords of the past.

A 54 Ranchwagon 272 and 4 speed sounds like a great combo.

Where abouts in NZ are you? I am in Auckland I will be out and about in the car when I receive it, we might run across each other some time.

Cheers

Hi Geoff, we live in New Plymouth but do get around once we get into summer. I will be at Beach Hop in November if you going to go down for a look. Look for the NZHRA stand, i won't be far away. Otherwise I attend hot rodding events around the North Island.
Cheers,
Brian.

Another place is 'presixtiescars' in Canada. They sell nothing but pre 60's car parts
(well cars made before the 60's) and they are all original NOS or replacement stock from the 60-70's.

Thanks Mike, sadly as Dobie says it seems that they are out of business. Thanks to all for the help with places to try, I now have a list that is verrry loooong...... and costly.

One thing that I would like to ask for help on is the inner tie rod ends, are the left and right hand the same? They are not listed as a left and right, just one part one part number.

Thanks
Geoff
