Negative Ground

It depends on what kind of clock --electronic (quartz) ---not unless the internal circuit is changed, the mechanical impulse type should work

Stock clock will work fine. It does not run on a motor. It just has an electromagnet that winds it periodically.

I am pretty sure most electrical gauges do not care which way the electricity flows (they may read backwards) neither do the switches. generators need to be polerized to know which way the current is to flow. I did my MGA from positive earth to negative and just needed to change the coil wiring and the ammeter wiring everything else worked fine.

When I first got my 47 back on the road eight years ago I knew nothing of positive ground and hooked the battery up backwards (negative ground) for about 10,000 miles until my error was told to me. Everything worked just fine except the amp meter read backwards.

Old Henry .... I bet when you drove the car in reverse your amp meter read on the positive side ?
