Connecting loads ....
I am thinking about buying a 1962 Ford Galaxie. It does not run but the owner will help to load the car.It is located near Fort Collins, Colorado and I live in Jackson,Michigan. It is roughly 1200 miles away.I am looking for someone to give me a price to transport it. Thanks
Me too! I need an early Econoline shipped from Huntington Beach, Ca. to Livonia, Mi. Quote for shipping! Thanks Ken Jackson and Livonia about 60 miles away..
Transport is about
connecting loads ....
Anyone who hauls has to be able to get a
connecting load into the
pick up point & from the drop off point to the next load.
Colorado is struggling right now.
Not a lot of guys buying cars and having them hauled into Colorado.
That is why there are deals to be had.
Same holds true for California - Oregon - Washington.
The west coast has a backlog of cars waiting to be hauled.
Your drop off location(s) are roughly midway between Chicago
and Detroit, anyone dropping off will have a fair amount of unloaded
miles to the next pick up point.
Brokers generally promise rates & timeframes that do not seem
to materialize (for the most part).
So, be prepared to wait for connecting loads to be scheduled so
you minimize unloaded mileage - don't pay a deposit - make sure
your car comes off the same trailer it is loaded onto.
