Working on a 1948 passenger car restoration project and need a correct wire set. These are supposed to be brown. The set I have now from one vendor has cracked inside the cap from the tight bends and is unusable. I am thinking I can make my own if I get the correct brown wire, but if there is a vendor that has them already reproduced that will pass all the visual judging when the car goes to shows AND WILL STILL RUN, I am ready to grab a set.

Any help?

Thanks!

Roy N. has them for sale at fordbolts.com for $49.95.In the on-line catalog they are on page 28.Great quality on the ones I bought for earlier model.

I have some NOS 42 wire looms with the plug wires still inside. I would think it would be the same wire. I don't know about the lengths but there are two that are extra long as they crossed over the top of the engine. $50 for the real thing.

I thought up to 48 were color coded,i could be wrong. Coles Ignition will know 1-585-342-9613. 9-5 rochester,ny. the best . ken ct.

37-71 where color coded wires.. 42-48 were either 7mm gloss brown with copper ends or gloss black lacquered wires with copper ends
