Need measurement for step pad on 35

I'm installing a step pad on a non rumble 1935 coupe that is now a rumble. I need a measurement for the hole for the stepping pad that goes on top of the fender. I would like to have it measured from the top of the running board, with the tape measure laying on the fender center raised crease up to the hole. My guess it's somewhere around 34 or 35 inches but I would like to have something better than a guess before I drill in this minit fender. thanks

mine isnt a rumble, but isnt there a brace underneath the fender that would locate the holes for you? Just curious if there was ever a stock brace under the pad from the factory

Here's a diagram courtesy of my friend Jon Anderson. It doesn't show vertical distance from RB, but there should be enough info for an accurate placement.

What kind of brace, washer, was used to hold the pad to the fender since it is mounted on the peak of the fender?

From the best, I could tell, on my '35 Cabriolet, from the top of the running board to the hole is about 34 3/4".
To get the best fit, wait until you mount the fender and with the car on level ground, drill the hole on the very highest peak. That way, your step pad will be sitting level. You don't want it slanting.
