Need help with rear drum identification

A buddy tells me that a friend of a friend is working on a 1932 Model B (4 cyl) pickup truck.

He broke one of the rear drums and is looking for a replacement. He says that a Model A drum is not a fit, nor is a Model B V8.

First, is he correct about that?
Second, assuming he is, where might he find a replacement?

Thanks
Leo

Assuming tha pickup means commercial chassis, same frame as passenger car, all '32-4 B and V-8 should fit. If a truck (long wheelbase, different frame and running gear) you can get the year range of BB interchange from the parts book...probably '32-3 only.

Sorry I'm not exactly sure what you're saying. Is it that:
1. If it's not a long wheel base (It isn't) then, the frames are the same for cars and pickups.
2. Assuming #1 is true then, the rear or front drums are intergchangable between any '32 4 cyl and '32 V8.

Is that right?

This may repeat some of the above; rear hubs/drums for 32-34 are
the same/interchangeable whether V8 or 4cyl. The shoes are 1-1/2" wide. 1935's have a similar appearance, but the shoes are 1-3/4" wide. You are
correct that a Model A hub/drum cannot fit as they are only 11" diameter. A 1935 will not fit because the drum is too wide. You need a 32-34 that has not been machined past 12.060". E-mail me tomorrow as a reminder earlyv8@aol.com and I will see what I have.

Yes, a normal pickup with standard '32 wheelbase uses running gear and frame same as passenger...they just tossed in a couple of extra spring leaves. Everything for a '32 car will fit, only cab/bed/rear fenders differ. And grill shell...

Hey...N. NJ? I'm in Madison and Millburn. Have a pickup in Millburn. Bruce
