Need another AA Seal number

Friends, I need an oil seal part number for a 1930 AA ford axle. It is the smaller seal where the axle comes through the bearing housing. This is not the large grease seal that is made in the hub. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello John,
I assume the seal you need is the one shown in the first pic, if so according to the Ford parts list the # is BB 4245-A, Macs and Sacramento village Ford have them, however I believe they will be the wrong seals.

The other pic shows the seal to be the correct one for the end of the axle tube, the ones the vendors show appear to be the inner seals, you maybe be should get some dimensions from the axle and call them before ordering, I just went thru a similar situation with my 29 axle.

John, I looked in my seal interchange book and it doesn't list an interchange for
the BB-4245-AR. I'll see if I can find an old one and measure it.

I pulled a seal out of an axle housing and I can see why there is no interchange, the
OD is stepped. I tried to get a measurement but the housing bore is oval and the
seal OD seem to be bigger than the hole it goes in(about .020").
