Are you talking about a Stromberg Model #48 used on a '35 Ford or a carburetor used on a '48 model year vehicle?
 
Ora, Uncle Max only rebuilds the Stromberg carburetors, models 40, 48, 81 & 97. I believe the 1948 Ford use a model 94 carburetor manufactured by companies other than Stromberg. Two rebuilders of 94's that I know of would be Ken Isidor in CT or Charlie Schwindler(sp?) In NY.
 
Go with Charlie NY, if you want it done once, and done correctly. :) For my money, there's no one better, Charlie should be your choice.;)
 
Just to echo what my friend Vic says. Charlie is my choice as well. He just completed one for me and I'm anxious to get it installed!
 
Based on first hand experience... Charlie NY is a meticulous specialist.. has done one on my 1935 and 1947…no problems.
