Mystery wheels

I just got a pair of 21” wooden spoke wheels with steel felloes, brake drums & split rims. The name “JAXON” is on the four lugs of the rims. Does anyone out there know what brand car these may have once been on? I. E. was JAXON the rim mfr. & for what brand(s)?

Jaxon was indeed the manufacturer, they built 21" rims in various widths and styles for:
Chandler
Cleveland
Dort
Essex
Franklin
Velie
Pierce Arrow
Oldsmobile
Gardner
Jewett
Oakland
Chevrolet
Buick
If you take the rims off the wheels and post a picture of the latch holding the ends of the split rim together, I may be able to give a positive ID. Chevrolet is always the best guess as they made so many more cars than all the others.

Thanks for the fast reply. I loaned the wheels to another fellow to get an estimate for cleaning. May take a few days before I can send a photo of the latch on the split rim. I can tell you the latch has a cotter pin inserted in a sort of loop that protrudes through the rim from the tube side. First I've seen a latch like this. Will post photo as soon as I can. Many thanks for offering to help.
