Mystery KR Wilson tool Whats it for?

Trying to ID a vintage KR Wilson 434 tool. It is 1/2 drive and about 4 1/2" tall. The bottom area has some internal jaws that open up. Thought maybe some would have a catalog or just know from experience. Any help would be appreciated!

One of the best styles of stud pullers I have used most all styles

It looks like it works like a one way sprag. Knowing the difficulty level of stud extraction, I'll stick to my Snap On collet type stud tools. I've never used any better stud tooling.

It will grip the stud in 3 places
