STEVE . . . . . . . . . . . I probably won't make it to Charlotte this year. I had my phaeton there for the National Meet in 1980. I won the "Best Oiled" trophy ! I like old Harleys. I have a 1977 Cafe Racer. MIKE
wow. 33's and 34's are not only some of the most beautiful Fords made, but originals are getting really scarce.. I particularly like the original patina. Thanks for keeping it in original condition.
Brian/CT . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . If I made the statement that, "I didn't want to trade", people would think I was NUTS ! You have a BEAUTIFUL phaeton ! MIKE
Gastrick . . . . . . . . . . . . Yes, Gastrick, that is my phaeton ! I took the fenders off, for a couple of years, just to have fun and disturb a few people. Even though I have NOS fenders for it, I decided to put the old original ones back on, after carefully sanding a coat of lacquer off. The top coat of lacquer had checked, so badly, that they were grey looking. Thanks for noticing - Nice photo ! MIKE
Gastrick . . . . . . . . . . . When I took off my fenders, I was inspired by that famous 1976 Robert Williams painting. I wanted to post a picture, but the frame is screwed to the wall and I can't get away from reflections. MIKE
Ha, you did a good job then because I have that same print hanging on my wall and I thought of it when I saw your Phaeton. I'm building the tudor sedan version, at least until I obtain some nice fenders.
GASTRICK . . . . . . . . . . . The artist, who did that painting, Robert Williams, has a website. You can visit it at RobtWilliamsStudio.Com. He has a book with that painting, on the cover. MIKE
I just sold my original unrestored phaeton--original leather interior, most original paint--received Dearborn Award like a restored car--see album for pictures
