Easier to read. Also, '39 Fords didn't have engine numbers. The serial number was stamped on the frame near the steering box and the front of the trans where it bolted to the block.

I hope the serial number on the title matches the numbers stamped on the engine-transmission assembly and the frame. It would be wonderful if you have the original title for your vehicle in hand.

Just FYI, back in the day of EFV8's Ford's vehicle identification process was to stamp a serial number on completed engine-transmission assemblies (on the transmission bell housing) after they passed final inspection and then copy that number onto the frame once the engine-transmission assembly was mated to the frame on the production assembly line.

Tried to post some pics but it did not work. I will try again.
I do not have the original engine. It came with a '48 I believe.

Glad you got some pictures to share. Looks like a nice car needing a little TLC. Welcome to Ford Barn. Ask questions as there are lots of folks with interest and knowledge who may be able to help you.

Nice looking project. Are you sure you want to share the vehicles serial number? Most people hide it or obscure it if in a picture. Fear of fraud etc.

I think '39 Deluxe Fords are the best looking of that series, if they have stock headlights.

(I also like wide-5's.)

In order to return to stock wheels you will have to find some stock brake drums.

As others have said , if you currently have 15” wheels you need to take a wheel off the car and post a picture. Someone could have changed the drums to add the 15” as no wide 5 15 were made . Except for dirt racing and most of those rims are 8” wide . Anything is possible . Pictures will save you time and money .
