My Newly Restored

All,

I purchased this 1929 CCPU in 2009 while just going on active duty for two years. We embarked on the restoration in earnest on March 17, 2012. On May 10, 2013, we installed the rain gutters to complete the restoration.

Here are the before and after pix.

Thanks for your service from a fellow Vet, (USAF 1961-1965) and nice job on the truck. But what is the airplane in the background? Looks like it has about a 7 cly Radial engine on it.

That's a 1929 Waco E4000. Flew Navy helicopters, in my 28th year of service....8 1/2 active, the rest in the Navy Reserve.

As John Keats says:
A thing of beauty is a joy for ever:
Its loveliness increases; it will never
Pass into nothingness; but still will keep
A bower quiet for us, and a sleep
Full of sweet dreams, and health, and quiet breathing.

Evidently Wacos & Model-A pick-ups go hand-in-hand!! The man who owns the Waco Airplane company is a Model-A guy also (we've restored 3 for him) and this is his "shop truck"! I hope you enjoy your pick-up for many years to come, ...and your Travel Aire too!!
