Here is a 1942 Ford Bus. It is not as stylish in the rear as the one that pooch bought, but still very nice all the same. It still earns its keep at V8 Club functions, when it transported V8 Club Members home after a recent V8 Nationals Presentation Dinner.

I needed some idea on mirrors, I think there is an old one inside of the long arm round type.

A roof rack would look good.

Mine has what I would think are tie down bars along each lower side.

Maybe they threw stuff up on the roof and roped over ?

would make a great classic ford transporter and workshop but sadly would have to modify the rear end big time ...good luck with it,just love it
