My new A! Waking up another Vicky

Wanted to share some photos of my first Model A sedan. I've always been a coupe/cabriolet owner, but at a few recent Model A gatherings, my wife has been noticing the Victorias and saying how cute she thought they were.

Fast forward a few months and here we are! It's a 1930 Vicky, The old lacquer paint is showing it's age and looking a little dull, but the wood sub rails, interior and frame are very nice. This is a very solid and complete car.

This car actually has been stored indoors and appears to have been rarely driven. I think a little rust repair and a fresh coat of paint would do this car wonders, but for now, it's just going to get some polish, some maintenance and enjoy it the way it is!

You will enjoy it more, the way it is. It's nice ! But, you won't be worrying so much about it.

No. I was looking at that un-restored black one on the trailer out at Pate on Thursday, but decided against it. I then found this one the next day. Glad I waited!

Very nice car! I grew up in the rear seat of a Victoria, even though it was a deuce. But I've always been fond of the Victorias, whether it is being an A, a B or a model 18!
Me to would have kept the paint as is, looks absolutely great!

I like your turn signals on the back, very low profile, but visible.
What do the signals in the front look like?

Being a fellow Vicky owner, just want to add nice car. Bob is right Vicky's were called coupes

wow, what a nice car. All the wood looks original and strong, important in a vicky. While I can't see the paint well in a photo, which always seem to make good look bad and bad look good, it looks as if your paint is just oxidized with a few chips here and there. Norton makes a product called Liquid Ice that took the oxidation off my old lacquer Elkpoint and Kewanee Green and made the car look pretty nice for a driver, and at much less cost than a re-paint. Most PPG dealers can match the paint well with the Prophet system, and you can airbrush the chips so the car will look great from 5 feet.
