My Mitchell synchro trans experience

Since this was initially posted, Mitchell has done some changes to the shift tower to eliminate some issues. Here is the video:

TMC, Thanks for the tip on how to use the neutral in the overdrive at a stop light. I put my transmission in neutral but the low gear grinds a touch with the light turns green. I will use your technique next time I am on the road.

I've started doing that too after having the O/D for about a year. It works great. That's also a good way to go from 2 over to three straight when you're shifting up through the gears.

Ok, that would eliminate that as a problem but even sourcing such a coghouse here isn't easy. I'm not aware of any vehicles sold here with the T5 in them. There may well have been but.....
Then fitting it up RHD - Arrgghh! Too hard.
The T5 is a 5 speed it does require cutting the cross member. People use the one from an S10 its shifter is in a better place than the Ford one. Ford had a 4 speed in some 86-7 F150s where 4th was OD those (being shorter) don't require cutting.

This is one swap - the comments note there are better/cleaner ways to do it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OMlqR4hw4CU
