After installing a 6 blade fan and a 4 core radiator the 56 runs at 170 on open road. Now it does go up a bit in traffic in the city about 190. Still I would not say it parade ready. The air condition I installed did not hurt it any as far as I have seen.

I have heard of that but never tried it. How much cooler would that make????I am in the process of changing the vent windows now.Never done on this 56.Its a money pit I guess.

Good looking 56 Redneck. I can remember driving some like it when they were new. Went down the road real good, never any problems with overheating, never gave it a thought. Got married in 57 so they were still new then. Got a 56 Merc. Montclair in 58 and no problems with that one either except for a loose torque converter plate (loose rivets). The garage just electric welded it in place. I think Barb will love it when you get some of the kinks out.

Beautiful car indeed. My wife had a 56 Crown Vic when we got married in 1960 but it was red and white with a police interceptor engine. It would fly. Sold it a few years later for $500.
