My 53 mercury.

Texasroadkill is working on his post count until he can use all the features of the forum. While he is doing that here is a picture of his 53 Mercury. This was taken shortly before he took possession of the car.

I might have introduced Texasroadkill to the idea to purchase the 53 Mercury, then I might have introduced his father to the idea of this 38 Ford convertible sedan.

52-53 are my favourite Merc body styles. You have a nice one there. I am jealous of those rust free front fenders.

Nice, my cousin still has my uncle's '53 Monterey 2 dr. htp 1owner, 49k original, Black w/ a white top. I've lusted after that car since I was 12 or 13 and I'm 77 now. That is long- term ownership. btw he bought it new in Ephrata, Pa.

Picture would be great!

My Uncle bought a '53 new. I remember it in the showroom before he took delivery. The '52-'53's are one of the best looking cars ever built. There is one parked next to a garage near me. It has been there for years. So tempted to check on it, but I have enough on my plate.

Thanks, its got a bit of rust in the normal areas but still shows well. I fell in love with it once I saw it at the previous owners house and luckily for me the pending sale fell through.
