heres pics of my 41 express that i have had since i was 20. i was gonna restore her but i just like her the way she is. top speed is 35

you should be getting more than 35 mph depending on your rear ratio....is there an early ford v8 club in your community....they may have a book about your truck in their library....
 
There were two rear axle ratios offered for this truck, 4.11 and 4.86. If you have the 4.86 you should be able to cruise happily at 45-50. If you want to go faster, Chuck's Trucks offers a kit to put a 4.11 ratio in your truck that should get you cruising at 60+.
 
thanks guys. i found a tag on the rear that says 7:34 but i dont know if that true or not.
i tried getting on the freeway and that was a bad ideal especially at rush hour in Southern california. i got nothing but horns and the middle finger. i had it at 45 but it was winding up something fearce. its all original with the flathead the tires are so hard i dont even have to put air in them LOL . it was my daily driver for a year i changed it over to 12v and kept the generator instead of the alternator kit. thanks for the tip on the gear change. i'm gonna look that up. the only thing i need is a new tank the center piece for the grille, one side was cracked off.
