Multi Carbs on Flathead thread

Thanks for mentioning my book. Sadly, the average citizen isn't doing much reading or studying to gain more knowledge these days. And, I am not referring strictly to the subject of Flatheads. We all want the answer or bottom line without understanding the mechanisms.

Can I buy your book directly from you or do I have to go through Amazon?

Nothing beats the look of four 97's on a flathead!
If your brave enough to run them like Walt!
Me I'm too scared to go that route.

Back when this site was run by Shelly I was trying to get a stock 59ab to run with two 94s. I think it was Uncle Max or Charlie in NY who said, if I remember right, you need two carbs exactly the same. Not only with power valves and jets but close in serial numbers as well. I don't know if my memory is failing or this is correct. I know I could not get my engine to run correctly and switched to a single carb, I decided I wanted to drive more than look kooooool.

I'm exploring all options, got Max's number from Walt and will give him a call next week. Make sense on having serial numbers close and mods done identically.
Clay, who's helping me with my chassis, recommends I get a Eddie Meyer 2x2 intake. Really like the nostalgia of it being pre war era...another option I'm looking into.

I went with the Edelbrock Slingshot, I read a lot of research before buying. I do not remember where I found my facts however I do remember it was more than one site with similar results. The slingshot was a close second as for performance. My deciding factor was to be able to run the generator in the stock location. Good luck
