"Someone" is making clamps that doesn't require NUTS. The Dog saw them "somewhere" while he was surfin'----

Those clamps are in use here in Oz. With a RHD car, fitting the exhaust clamp is a PITA and if not done just right, the clutch pedal won't go down. Instead of making a new casting for the half of the clamp with the female thread in it, we use a Helicoil in one half, shorter bolts and no nuts. It takes a VERY sharp eye to pick it.
