Mouse piss rust

I would not suggest the use of "phosphoric acid" as a metal prep, rust transformer. The products that are made for this purpose, JASCO, OSPHO, etc., have other chemicals added to the acid to make it work..
The commercially made rust transformers, metal prep, don't have to be washed, sanded off prior to the application of paint
Hmmmm? "I am tired of learning" I think that when a person gets to that stage in life, it time to lay down and die.

Before a guy with tons of knowledge to contribute should lay down and die , because he is tired of learning, he should write a book of knowledge gained..to help others.
Maybe that way, will help others and forget the dying thing in the process.
And, thereby pay forward the help that he has received along the way:)

I once read that, "When a man dies, a library of knowledge burns down" ..
I'm doing my best to clear out and/or share sixty-five plus years of knowledge with the hope that the fire will not burn the house down.

Hey Bill,
Good on you !

BTW...not to clutter a mind, but to add to knowledge please consider the upcoming San Antonio Boys Home swap meet/old car meet (near you :)), on August 20, 2017. 21000 Plummer St ,Chats
Contact for extra info: Jim Lank (818) 367-4757.

This is put on for benefit of the boys home. Anyone who has ever been homeless will understand that this is a good cause.

When I say tired of learning I was referring to the fact that when I brought the new body home I should have done something to protect it from mouse piss. Now learning something to make up for that mistake.

Use to have a sign on my desk that said, "Once I Thought I Was Wrong, But I was Mistaken"
Sometimes our mistakes come at a high price..

The school of hard knocks is not a fun way to learn. I've had my fare share of knocks though but am always looking for better alternatives.

I find/ found out that what you say here is and was true. My mistake was buying rust, without any skills at working rust.
That was a mistake and I kept paying for it ever since I got it running/driving. Once I kept a book (hidden away now ) with every red cent 'invested' in rust project/mistake. Got to thinking...what if she sees this down the road. Hm, stopped digging hole/writing and stored evidence in shed. Have not stopped adding to that mistake though. Could have had a stock '32 coupe ...but would have been years without while saving.
At some point, I realized that I should have saved/bought a 'finished' hobby car...if there is such a thing :).
