Motor Wheel 15 6L” 685?

Re: Motor Wheel 15 6L” 685?

All the steel Ford wheels I have ever seen or owned carried a "Ford" oval logo stamped on the face of the wheel between 2 of the lug holes and would have a "KH" for Kelsey-Hayes or "H" for their Hamilton, Ohio wheel plant. There may be exceptions.

I have the same wheels on my 41 pickup the guy that sold them to me said they were Lincoln wheels. I just wanted 15"s that would take my stock caps and a trim ring and they fit the bill and were cheep at the time.

Looks like a early 1950's Chrysler to me especially with the width of 6".The early 50's Chrysler Imperials had a 5.5 bolt pattern. Might have had clips for retaining a small hubcap.

Chrysler wheels were my first thought too. I just sold a set that were identical to the one in the photo. They were on my '40 tudor and the previous owner told me they were from an early Chrysler.
