Motor Stitching DFW Area

Just got motor back - was supposed to be bored for new .040 pistons, but when magnafluxed, they found small crack in block and head, so didn't bore. The mechanic said it was very small and should be no problem to fix. Anyone know business in DFW area (preferably Fort Worth) that does motor stitching?

Thanks,

If anyone in the area knows my friend Bill Buckmeyer will. He is a Model A genius! Look him up on the members list. If no luck send me a pm. Wayne

I mentioned that I was supposed to take it to someone that could do the stitching. I was asking about the re-babbitt and rods. When we got it there, they said they wanted to grind it out and braze it. I have heard too much here on the Ford Barn to go that route. So now, I am asking if anyone knows anyone around DFW that will do the stitching. I know there is a place around College Station, but that's four hours away. There is one in Denton that may do it, but their work is backed up two-three months for their complete engine rebuilds. Any suggestions?

They have 2-3 month waiting list because of their motor rebuilds. We just thought there would be some around that did this type of work when doing other engine work. Model As can't be the only ones that cracks.
