motor mount issue

I just installed my motor in my 1937 ford. I bought the mounts from steel rubber products. Every thing seemed to fit just fine until I inserted the bolts. they come up short. I discovered the rubber seems to be taller on both rubber pieces then my old ones I pulled out. The bolts are the same length. Has anyone else used their mounts? Does anyone carry longer bolts? I think I would need another 3/4 of an inch.
Also would the motor sitting Higher cause me more issues?

Bob Drake offers longer mount bolts for your application. You can also get them from your preferred Bob Drake vendor.

Make sure you have them assembled correctly. When I did a mockup one time, I had the smaller rubber piece upside down, which caused a similar problem. Clearly something is wrong, as your remark about the "motor sitting Higher" indicates.

I'd take another look at the whole thing.

Here is my old and new mounts. There is 7/16ths differences between the two. The bottom section has a rubber ring on both top and bottom. I removed the bottom ring, that saved me 1/8th". Bob Drake has longer bolts but only by 1/4". That would only put me 1/8th inch over the motor mount bracket. Not enough to get the not on.

Is the bottom bottom washer with the inner flange upside down? Would save another 1/8” inch.

You cans see the problem in this pic. The bolts are the same length. I contacted steel rubber products and the are refunding me.

How come you have so much space between the bolt head and rubber? The picture on the Steel sight looks different.

That is part of the problem. The smaller rubber had shoulders on both sides, so I did cut it off one side. That didn't help much. The larger rubber is 3/8ths to tall. Once they are together there is no threads left to install them.

Silly question, but why is there a hole in the "base" of that castle nut? Did there happen to be a cotter pin in that hole?

My motor mounts have castle nuts with cotter pin. I found the castle nut really doesn't grip the threads sufficiently to hold it in place.
