moisture in cap again

Most good auto parts stores or marine supply or marinas will stock CRC. You could probably find it in an Overton's Marine Supply Catalog. Overton's is a Nationwide supplier and their headquarters is in S. Carolina I believe so you should be able to find an Overton's or a West Marine Supply in Ga.

Good Luck,

Rich O.

Went for a ride yesterday to the store and to my Mom's house and when I got back in the 40 It started funny and started to pop so I stopped at Ingles parking lot to dry the dizzy out again seems everytime I let it sit a while it does this.It has a 2 bolt crab Mallory electronic dist in it.I think that I'm building up heat in engine compartment and when I shut it down it creates moisture in it because my electric fan never comes on.Is there anything that I can spray in cap or rub dielectric grease in it tired of this.Wil change the cap this week as I have a spare one see if that will help. Thanks for help

Yea know, some times people make changes to a flathead and expect it to be a miracle worker [elec.mallory].Theres nothing wrong with a stock points and cond dist. Ive built a hundred of them and never had the trouble you have, try going back to a stock dist and see what happends. OMO ken ct.

I may send it to Bubba to redo as I did find the 2 bolt dist in a box off junk.Thought I had tossed it with some more stuff.Flatmotor40
