Modified Model A

I found a photo of a very interesting 1928-1929 Model A in the Wiscinsin Historical Society online archives. It has been highly modified (to say the least)..... my guess is so it can traverse the deep snows of northern Wisconsin?!

There was a "kit" made to do this back in the day. Many similar setups were used for mail delivery, etc. I think there is a Club in Wisconsin that specializes in them?
