Hi,I am novice T owner( Model A project mainly at this time)I have a 26 TT steel cab with worm drive that I also am working on.My question is I have a complete Universal rear mounted 3 speed auxillary transmission ready to bolt in(with all modifications done ,shortened driveshaft and torque tube).I also have a Ruxstell 2 speed rear end.I was advised to install the Ruxtell also ,which I don't think I need, because I will have 6 forward and three reverse speeds. Is this correct? Thanks for your advice Doug

I have the same dilema, put the Ruxtell in direct and leave it. The under drive will always be there if you need it. It will crowd the cab with shifters though. You could leave the linkage off possibly but I'm no expert. May need to fix it where it could not be shifted out of direct, preferably without modifications to the Ruxtell. IMO if you have a good rear end already, if the Universal is over, direct, and under drives, I'd go with the non Ruxtell. Let us know what you decide and pictures. Dennis

well if u dant have the ruxtell in yet you could alwasy the the auxillary trans in the drive the truck and see how it does, then ethier leave it or put the rear end in.
