Model T sedan 2 and 4-doors same body length?

The Improved Fordor ('26-'27) has the same body length as the prior model, but lower due to chassis change. All Ford bodies interchange on the Ford chassis. The Improved Tudor ('26-'27) was longer than the earlier, and there would be some difference between the overall length of the Fordor and Tudor. The Fordor remained mostly wood framed, while the Tudor became mostly all metal.

Okay, let's narrow it down to the '26-7 sedan models. If I'm reading you right, the fordor is longer than the tudor. If so, by about how much?

Thanks,
Kurt

Never have measured one to the other.....my guess would be several inches difference.

The cowls are different as the Tudor has the gas tank in the cowl, while the Fordor has the gas tank under the driver's seat......

Just for comparison, here are scans from Ford Body and Parts List, 1926-27. The drawing aren't scaled, but you can see the overall is about the same. The rear fender relief on the body indicate where the rear axle would be....so they are similar in length, the Fordor may be longer overall with the rear panel shape. Note the cowl difference, the Tudor has the longer cowl as the gas tank is now there.
