I believe 12 are left.. I posted Timothy K. car here on Fordbarn awhile back. He owns this model you are showing. And its Big.

The early history of Ford is an interesting story. Henry did not always exert control over the company. Some of the other early leadership of the company was more interested in building larger powerful cars. Henry was able to take control of the company and refocus on his desire to build smaller inexpensive cars for the masses.

the model k was forced on henry fod by some of his stock holders who wanted to build a more fancy model to get more profit from each car, the model didnt do very well nd was discontinued after a couple of years, and when ford reclaimed control over the company he said there would be no more 6 cylinders built, and there werent un till the later years, there are 3 or 4 examples of them at the ford musem in sacremento calif

What year were the "k"s made ? I guess you needed a pair of goggles. Did The fine print say 30 or 50 mph ?

made from 1906 to 1908, there were a few 1909 models but i think those were left over 08 models registered in 09, the model k failed because of poor quality and price, from $2000 to around $7000, a fortune in 06

Here are a couple more pictures of Tim K's model K and also a piture with his and the model K speedster. It is not everyday that you will see 2 of these together.

I have a pair of hinged top support posts that look like the ones on Tim K's car. I would like to send him a picture of them for possible identification. Does anyone have his email address? You could send it to me privately at ralorenz@comcast.net. Thanks.
