Hi All. I have a briggs fordor 1929 with a B engine can any body tell me if the rear main bearing drain tube is shorter then the "A" rear main drain tube. cheers Pete from not so bad U.K

Thanks but what i need to know is if the "B" tube is shorter then the "A" tube i know that the diameter on the early tube is 5/16in and the later tube is 3/8in but if you put the "A" tube on a "B" itds lower in the oil pan and deeper in the oil, the "A" tube is approx 3-3/4in what lenght is the "B" tube. Thanks Pete U.K.

I checked 3 model B rear main caps and all use the same tube as the Model A rear main regardless of position in the oil.

I am not too sure that the early drain pipe is lesser in diameter. I just recently pulled a pipe from a very early engine and it was 3/8"
