I got this motor with a bunch of parts I recently bought. It was supposedly gone through with an A head/manifold and put in a restored model a coupe. The owner became upset after not being able to be judged in shows due to it not being an A motor. It was subsequently pulled and replaced with a correct A engine. It sat for a while before I got it. I put a correct B head and manifold on it. Cylinder walls and valves looked very nice! I had it running, sounded fine. I do not know what was done to it prior to being put into the A coupe. I was not able to get a readable number from a tracing on the stamped id pad. Can run for interested buyer. Does not come with carb or dist/plugs. Located 25 miles south of Buffalo NY. Can load. $1000 bo Call Matt at (716) 604-696 zero

May I give you a piece of advice on how to sell something successfully?

If you offer a motor for $850 on this board, and I shortly afterward send you a personal message asking for a photo and tell you that "I would like to buy that motor from you," followed immediately by a post on this board stating "P.M. sent" to make you aware of it, then do not ignore such a post and the message for over a week and offer the motor again, this time at a lower price. That makes potential buyers feel like fools and you come over as a shady character, none of which will be beneficial to a sale.

I hereby officially withdraw my purchase request, not because I don't want a B-motor anymore, but because I got a bad feeling about the way you do business. I'm too old for this kind of nonsense.

Some advice learned the hard way- if a phone # is posted in an ad and you're interested in buying,USE THE PHONE. All this "P.M." , E-mail stuff is great if the person you're trying to reach sits at the computer all day(and half the night trying to reach L.A. from Boston) but the good old telephone still works the best for initial contact (in my humble opinion)Good deals go down FAST.I've let some nice stuff slip through my grimey little hands because of "messaging" God bless Ma Bell. Mike from Mass.
