Model B float setting.

What should be the position of the float when you hold the top casting upside down? I thought it was supposed to be about level but I just rebuilt the carb and it is now at about at a 30 degree angle. I put in the new float valve (ball bearing one) but if the float is to be level, how does one go about making it so?

You bend the tab on the float to achieve proper level; this is the tab with a hole on each side for the retaining pin. Did you possible use more than one gasket under the float valve ? The float should be level to the bowl gasket surface when turned upside down as forever 4 said.
