Model B engine with A head

Thanks for all your help on this question. There are really this 2 holes in the mid not plugged. I'll do that tomorrow and I hope it'll work and solve the problem.
Can I use a Model A copper head gasket with a Model A high compression head?

If you use a high compression head there is a good chance that you don't need to plug the holes. Be sure to run a "B" gasket (check with the manufacturer of your head).
