Model B engine splash pan question.

I have the correct nuts ,screws and anti-squeek pads from Third Gen for my 1932 Model B standard coupe and understand now why mechanics back in the day didn't have much patience with them. Actually I would just like to know correct orientation of attachments,square nuts bottom of frame channel or hex heads ? It seems difficult either way. Not a concourse car but since I have all correct parts would like to install the way they were new.

Nuts down, bolt heads up. Compared to '32 V8 pans, B pans are straight forward as the crossover and muffler inlet pipes are routed through the pans.
