Sometimes things are clearer in the dark. was running the A in the garage when a storm blew up and knocked out he electric. im running a B distributor. I had never noticed before but there was a blue spark line running from the condenser case along the bracket to ground. the holding bracket is soldered on and mine was loose. I pulled it and fixed it. yes I dropped the mounting screw. no I never found it and yes I found a replacement. the spark at the plugs is now blue instead of orange.

It's a good idea to look at your engine running in a dark garage just for electrical leaks.
I do this on my modern cars as well. Many times you will see a glowing ring on your spark plugs insulator area just below the boot. I never believed it until I saw it. It's NOT a Lightning bolt spark, just a glowing effect.
Obviously any complete spark leak/arcing will be seen and possibly even heard depending on how quite your engine is.
